Guest: Seth Bramble - President, Mount Pleasant Education Association; Local Chapter of the California Teacher's Association In mid 90's studied at UC Santa Cruz, as a protege of Angela Davis in the Faculty Mentorship Program. He majored in American Studies, with a minor in education. His studies centered around the prison industrial complex, and the topic of race relations.
His passion is teaching empowerment. In 2003 he led a school march and protest to save Science Camp, involving parents, students, and community members. He has served as camp counselor and program director of the Community Leadership Program, and has taught 6th graders in the Mount Pleasant Elementary & Franklin McKinley School Districts.
