World Music Marathon 2004

Wednesday November 24th, 6:00 PM
through
Midnight Sunday November 28th

Schedule

KKUP celebrates over 30 years of broadcasting with the
20th annual World Music Marathon, November 24-28, 2004.

Over the Thanksgiving Weekend, beginning at 6-pm. November 24, KKUP, listener sponsored radio, will be showcasing the musical diversity of the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas. Hear live musicians and singers performing music from Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Eastern and Western Europe, and South and Central America. Also, experience more of the best and most unique recorded world music played anywhere in California.

Our all volunteer staff have spent years studying and collecting world music, and many have a unique perspective being immigrants from other nations or from having immigrant parents.

Community radio KKUP 91.5 FM is an all-volunteer, non-commercial, solely listener-funded alternative radio station. KKUP broadcasts a wide variety of public affairs, talk shows, literature and poetry programs, ethnic programs, and a large variety of music programs from Brahms, to Bollywood to Bluegrass. KKUP features more different, regularly scheduled, World Music programs than any other station in Northern California. Our priority at KKUP is to provide the best possible programming for our listeners.

KKUP studios are located in the Franklin Mall, city of Santa Clara
P.0. Box 820, Cupertino CA 95015 - Studio Line 408-260-2999
